Vasantdada Patil Ayurvedic Medical College, Sangli is situated between Sangli and Miraj cities at vishrambag, Sangli. This college is a Government of Maharashtra state grant-in-aid college established in 1981, located in the heart of the City, near the market yard. Sangli is one of the important cities of the western Maharashtra region & is known for its famous turmeric market in Asia. Today this institute comprises Ayurveda College, Well equipped Hospital and also having over for herbal garden and girl’s hostel inside the campus.
The Vasantdada Patil Ayurvedic Medical College is recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine and affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nasik. The College runs regular University Courses for Graduate degrees in Ayurveda (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery, B.A.M.S.) with an intake capacity of 75 students.
This college is a destination for patients of all diseases seeking Ayurveda remedies from all over the state. Hospital is well equipped with 60 beds for indoor treatment, the Out Patient Department attends to around patients 130 daily. Well-equipped Panchkarma Therapy Center with trained staff and a separate section for male and female patients. All the Keralian panchakarma including pure karma and pradhan karmas are done here under the supervision of expert Doctors. An operation theatre equipped with all instruments and the latest devices like multimonitor etc. ready for any major surgery along with minor O.T. is available in the hospital. The family Planning centre, Immunization, Ksharsutra Therapy, and DOT Center of this Hospital, have gained results for the patients of the society. The Institution having digital X-ray, ECG, Pathology Lab, ICU, Operation Theatres, ebulizer ,Pulseoximeter, Glucometer, Netra Rog, Sonagrphy, facility etc as well as equipped pathology lab with trained expert faculty with experienced staff members.
